    Dilution Characteristics
Soluryl R-40 can be diluted with water/alcohol blends. It is advisable to pre-mix solvents before adding to the polymer to avoid any possible solvent shock.
    Pigmentation
Soluryl R-40 is compatible with most organic and inorganic pigment used in water-based inks.As with all water-base carboxylated acrylic polymers, care must be taken with barium and calcium based organic red pigments as certain types can cause tickening.Soluryl R-40 can be pigmented in a number of ways as follows:
-Grind dry pigment directly into Solury R-40
-High speed mixing with pre-dispersed pigment pastes
-Grind dry pigment into resin solution and use Solury R-40 as the letdown
